Rishi Vimal Parikh is currently a PhD student in Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University. Prior to attending Stanford, he spent several years working on healthcare-associated infection surveillance at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and studying cardiovascular disease epidemiology and health care delivery science at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research.
Allen Archer is currently an undergraduate senior majoring in Health Administration at East Tennessee State University. Allen has been admitted and, upon completion of his bachelor’s degree in the Summer of 2022, will attend medical school at the Quillen College of Medicine as an MD/MPH student.
Dr. Baughman is a current chief family medicine resident with career aspirations of leadership in medicine, health care administration, and the federal government. He continues to serve in multiple state and national leadership positions within organized medicine, taking active roles in shaping health policy at the AAFP and AMA.
Sydney Doe is a proud Chicago native and a current PGY-2 at Northwestern’s Family Medicine program based out of Erie Family Health, a teaching health center. As a medical student, she was elected to serve as a Student Representative to the AAFP’s Congress of Delegates.
David Loxterkamp is nearing retirement after almost 35 years in rural practice and 3 years of teaching in a family medicine residency program. His professional interests include rural medicine, the care of patients with substance abuse, and practice transformation. He is a gardener, long-distance runner, and choral singer. He lives in rural coastal Maine with his wife of 37 years and their cat, Boo Boo.
Madison McCraney is a graduate student in the Florida State University MPH program and interning in Florida Medicaid. She is leading a senior home modification program and physician workforce study under the mentorship of Dr. Christopher Cogle, Chief Medical Officer for Florida Medicaid.
Alberto Ortega, a 2021 Pisacano Scholar, is an MD/MBA dual degree candidate at the University of Southern California. Prior to medical school, Alberto spent over 10 years working in the healthcare space as an Emergency Medical Technician, professional Spanish interpreter, and health educator.
