Starfield Summit V: Advancing & Improving Measurement and Value in Primary Care (AIM-PC)

Primary care is where most outpatient healthcare is delivered and where more than one-third of all visits take place. However, how primary care clinician decisions and behaviors affect total costs of care is poorly captured and understood by payors and policymakers.  Initiated in 2016, Starfield Summits were created as multistakeholder discussions on topics of critical importance to primary care, intended to inform and create movement in research, policy, training and practice.   This 5th Summit is an invitation-only, four-part multistakeholder conversation that aims to advance measures that matter for primary care, specifically achieving consensus around the measurement of low value care.
