Visiting Scholars

Sylvia Cevallos, the CPV's 2025 summer intern, is a rising senior at Davidson College studying biology on the pre-medicine track. She is interested in pursuing a career in pediatric primary care. Sylvia is originally from Boston, MA but moved to Oakland, CA in 2023 with her family. Her favorite activities include traveling, watching sports, and playing with her dog, Noche.

Dr. Luisa Pettigrew studied medicine at Edinburgh University (1997-2002) and undertook her GP training in London, qualifying as a GP in 2008. She has previously worked in accident and emergency, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and psychiatry. She holds Diplomas in Child Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Family Planning, and a Masters in Health Policy.

Dr. Steph Davis is a General Practitioner and Public Health Physician.  She is the senior medical advisor in the Primary Care Division of the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care, and in this role provides advice and guidance across all aspects of the Division’s work.  She is also a currently practising GP in a refugee health service in Canberra.

Vinaya is a Midwesterner at heart, originating from Ohio and currently completing her residency training as a PGY2 at the Erie/Northwestern Family Medicine program. In addition to primary care, her professional interests include public health and research.

Annalise Bickley is a current senior and graduate student at Penn State University. With an undergraduate focus in Biobehavioral Health and working towards her Master of Public Health, she is passionate about helping those around me.

Campbell Cook is a recent graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology and minors in accounting and biology. He plans to continue to medical school after a gap year.

Rachel Cunningham is an intern with the American Board of Family Medicine and their Center for Professionalism and Value in Health Care. Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical science and a minor in Spanish from Texas A&M University.

Jenna DeLucca is a New Hampshire native and a rising senior at Davidson College where she is majoring in biology with a minor in public health. Jenna is on the pre-medicine track as well at Davidson, intending to go on to medical school to become a physician.

Rishi Vimal Parikh is currently a PhD student in Epidemiology and Population Health at Stanford University. Prior to attending Stanford, he spent several years working on healthcare-associated infection surveillance at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and studying cardiovascular disease epidemiology and health care delivery science at the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Division of Research.

Allen Archer is currently an undergraduate senior majoring in Health Administration at East Tennessee State University. Allen has been admitted and, upon completion of his bachelor’s degree in the Summer of 2022, will attend medical school at the Quillen College of Medicine as an MD/MPH student.
